Finished plowing my garden for the last time this year. Looks pretty good but it's a little dry. Dad's been gone 21 years now but I always think of him when I plow. Hope he was watching me and thought I did OK. Dave.

My feeling is, if you were thinking of him, his spirit was with you. Thanks for sharing this with us and don't deny yourself those good thought and feelings. I have been thinking this month of my dad who passed in March at age 77 - September 1 birthdate and my late girlfriend at age 42 (1999) - September 20-(today) birthdate. Life is short, eat desert first. I hope when I pass, that folks have good memories of me.

lost mom 10 years ago and dad 2.5 years ago. Like Rich I am living on the farm, in NJ, and thinking how things have changed. they built it with their hands literally, and we own it 61 years. I miss them both.

My dad has been gone for 14 years.I often wonder if he would be proud of what I have done with the farm.

He was.

My dad's been gone since 1985. In 1973, he, with the help of three of my uncles, built a hay barn. I've since poured a concrete floor in it, lined and insulated it, put an insulated ceiling in it, and turned it into a shop.

I get to be something of a night owl on occasion, and sometimes when I'm working in the shop late at night, I swear I can feel another presence in the building.

I also have reason to believe the spirit (ghost?) of an old girl friend who died young without ever marrying is following me around, but that's a whole different story.

Damned straight he was watching!

My Old Man has been gone for seven years, and I know he's always watching. I'm sure he gets a real kick out my W-9 which he never got to see, nor our nice shop.

The only problem is that I can't hide from him anymore when I screw up.

My Dad has been gone about 2 years and I miss him dearly. He made me what I am today and I praise him for that. I constantly think of him and mom. Mom has been gone three years. I am liveing on the home farm and sit back and remember how it was back in the late 40s and how this place has changed.

Just the fact you were thinking of him was enough!

My dad's critical eye is still in this physical domain, but my grand father on his side (though a horse only operator) could plow straighter than either of us. I'm sure his spirit directs more than just me, (it always did) JimN

Sure he was! Lost both my parents when I was relatively young. Only thing that got me through some days was knowing they were with me.
