Reading in the book it says to set the rear wheels to 80 inches in side to in side. It seems to me that should be 80 inches center to center? which is right? 80 inches should then give you 20 inch rows. So if you want 18 inch rows set them at 72 inch??

Well I'm back in the house to get a toast and Dr Pepper . The wheels moved easer than I would have thought . They have not move in the 9 years I have had the C I ended up like Cmore said with about 2 inches of axle outside the wheel, and I guess that will give me 38 inch row.(I hope)
I haven't planted yet I'm setting it up to make the beds so 38 will be fine. It is suppose to rain tomorrow ( first time in a long time) so I want to get done. Larry

If you are dealing with 18" rows, 72 inches will allow you to straddle 4, but you need a four row or a 6 row narrow-type cultivator.

Two row cultivators were designed for wide rows, 36 to 40".

80 center to center would be for 40 in rows. What is your row spacing? I was able to do 30in rows with a B last summer. You should be able to do that with the C. If you have rows narrower than 30 you will need a wide front.
