OK,I got a rebuilt injector pump, rebuilt injectors, and went to put the injectors in and the brass or copper injector seats are so carboned up that the injectors wont seat!Is there anything I can use like a liquid to disolve the carbon and use a brush....or what!Do you know of anything that I can use to scrub the seats with without harming it? Thanks Tom

Are you sure you got the old coppers out? They make a cleaner to clean the injector sleves. some times you can use a brush for inj tubes to clean them and brake clean. Be sure to turn the engine over to get the brake clean out. Cooker

Don't take those copper nozzel sleeves out!! There are no copper washers in a german engine the nozzels just seal againest the nozzle sleeves. If you do you will have coolant in your engine. Those injector sleeves are driven in with a special tool. They a thin wall tube and there is coolant on the other side. If you remove them you will have to remove the head and take it to a machine shop and have them reinstalled and they are about $40 each. A brass nozzel brush with a shop vac is your best bet.

Scott,I was hoping you'd be out there,I did as suggested and used a pipe brush from the hardware store 3/4" and got a can of brake cleaner and took the wire brush to the grinder wheel and groung it more to a point.then proceeded to swirl the brush down to the bottom and spray the cleaner in ...IT WORKS!! nice and shiny, then turned the engine over 4 times to blow the cleaner and junk out...coat the injector with antiseize and bolt it down.I cranked it up,it smoked for about 15 min. then it stopped..turned it off..hit the stater and it fired WITHOUT eyther!!! 1st time it's EVER started without juice!! I owe alot to "Lee" @Midwest Diesel Injection, for rebulding the pump and injectors and all the helping hands Thanks Guys! Tom
