my generator is only putting out 7 amps, does this mean it's not gonna run them right?

In simple terms, watts divided by volts will give you the amps. About five amps each, but when hot, the amperage will drop somewhat. If your generator is putting out more than six volts, the amperage will go down some more.

Not exactly, what is true is that volts divided by ohms will give you amps. If you double the voltage you also double the amperage, that is why 12v will burn out a 6v bulb.

An incandescent bulb does not have fixed wattage, only fixed resistance. A 30w bulb will draw 5 amps at 6v, but that will rise proportionally with voltage.
