I need to replace 3 bent pushrods on my 240U, C-123 engine as part of a head rebuild. I found them on the IH parts site, and one IH dealer at least lists them at $23 apiece!! What!? Can that be right? I would have thought they'd be more like $4 apiece. Guess I'll call them tomorrow to check if it's meant to say $23 for all 8.

Anyone have any experience buying IH pushrods lately? I've tried other aftermarket tractor sites with no luck. Any suggestions? I was going to replace them all even though only 3 are bad. Maybe I should buy 3 used ones rather than pay $75.

Thanks.

I have 4 or maybe more 113 pushrods that are used but straight. Would consider selling all 4 for $15.00 including shipping. Email me if interested with your phone number and I will call you for other info.

If you can get them straightened out completely you will likely have no problem reusing them. Just roll them on a flat surface and you will be able to see any bends. You will also probably find the good ones are not completely straight either.

Push rods from a 113 engine or a 135 will enterchange. There should be many 113 laying around that you can salvage a rod or a set of rods.If you have no luck,I maybe able to help you but I am sure you can find a rod close to home, probably cheaper and less hassel than mailing one.

A push rod is a push rod. You can somtimes find them on ebay. I would just get 3 used ones. As long as there are no sings of excessive wear i would use the 5 good ones you have and then get 3 used ones. my dad had a H that bent a push rod and he had his brother rebuild the engine and he went with used push rods and the tractor ran like a top after he was done. but on ebay usually they sell them in a lot of 8. give ebay a look.

Welcome to the world of costly replacement parts. I'd say that $23 each is probably correct. If you have an engine machine shop in your area, you might try them.
