Well if your loooking to pull stone boat we pull a good amount of weight there and is more of a "power pit" however there we have 4000# class that you can get your H into. I pull my H in that class at a few pulls and i can stay with them. My H is 100% stock with nothing done to it. If you take those weights off you should be right there! I have the hydor pump still and belt pully still on mine and i make it. My father pulls his Super H in 4500# but its like two times the tractor. and I pull a Allis B in 2500#. If you want to pull the transfere if your tractor is stock then it will be alittle lite on power. It all depends on what you want to do, either way its good to see a new puller out there!

My Email is open if you have more Q's Thanks

Andrew

Are you looking to pull with Ct (transfer sled) state or antique (stone boat) ? I pull both if you have Q's about these let me know, more than happy to help.

Andrew

i have 2 sets of wheel weights but will need aditional weight ... any ideas my idea was to make a template of the top transmission cover in the shape of a u and cut a huge chunk of metal to that size

Thats what I thought. I have pulled against H's in 5000 pound classes and they should have been watching. The M's and A JD's walk off with them. If yours don't have fluid or weights some weights will need to be added to get to 4500. The C and SC will give it a run for the money.

Weight her up...at #4500 it'll be too light and the Cs and Super C's will be at their optimum pulling weight, and will eat ya alive. #5000-#5500 is best unless ya run into a real strong Super C, or a Super H.

Where I come from the M, SM , S88 olivers and DC Cases will eat him up at 5,000 weight and over.

Pat, are you sure that isn't for 4500 pound tractors instead of 4500 pound sled? Most H's don't have hardly enough power for the sled.
