War era Farmall emblems were made from tin or steel? I know aluminium wasn't used because of rations.
Does anyone know if the war era material emblems are still made, or can you only get a new one in aluminium? Mine is aluminium and painted all black. So I want to replace it.

I beleive the war time emblems were made of steel, and those are not being made anymore.

If the one you have is in decent shape, just strip off the black paint and re-paint so it is correct.

I think the one I have is aluminum. I was about to pull it off tonight to find out.

There were two wood screws holding it on. It was coming off regardless.
