I want to put lights on my 300U and need to run the wiring. Can someone tell me what gauge wire I should use. Is there anyone making a wiring harness for either the front or rear lights?

Forgot to mention that once I left the instrument panel everything was put in the black plastic split wiring (stuff for lack of a better word) to the oil pressure source, temperature probe, lights, coil and even the + battery cable. Any auto parts and some hardware stores carry this. David.third party image

I just looked at the wiring diagram for a 300 at www.caseih.com. Blow em up, print em out, whatever. They didn't give wire gauge but did give the color sometimes. 16 gauge is what I ran to the front and rear lights on my 240 U. Everything is fused at 15 amps on mine. 12 volt by the way. David.

Jimer is good on the wire size, 12 would do on the supply with a 15 amp fuse in it. Caution, the light switch cannot stand any more than stock lights (in terms of total wattage. More than stock, and the little dimmer resistor becomes a light in its own way foe a brief moment, (heats up radically). JimN

10 gauge for power to the switch, then I think I have 14 gauge to the lights (I'd guess, 16 gauge would do it, I just over did everything).
