Does anyone know of a forum similar to this, but for small gas engines? I have a number of questions but dont like to do the O/T thing too much.

Thanks, Gene

Thanks for all the info. I have a Craftsman riding mower with a Briggs engine. It was using a little oil, but not bad. Then it got to where you would be running along just fine and then all the sudden it acted like it lost all compression and blew a huge cloud of blue/white smoke out. Sometimes it would start right back up, other times you would have to wait a day. Could it be a valve sticking?

Two good sites that specialize in small engines are:

old-engines.com and asecc.com

There are 2 forums right here. one is the lawn and garden forum, the other is the stationary engine forum. What do you want to know? Ask away

For small air cooled engines (outdoor power equipment), the Technical Forum at perr.com is GREAT.
