I have a 1948 Super A and added a water pump to the tractor however, there is now no place to bolt/screw in the temperature probe. Does anyone know where or how was the later Super A's with water pumps temperature probe mounted or any other suggestions? thanks in advance

On the later tractors with a water pump, it is in the top water neck/thermostat housing. A Super C or 100/130/140 should have the correct water neck; not sure if it will match the radiator, as the Super A-1 and up used a taller radiator. I think with a water pump, you will need a t-stat or the engine will take a long time to come up to temp. Running an engine cold has problems, just as running it hot does. Also, I understand there is a difference in the head gasket.
