I need a picture, or the scematic to show where the timing mark's are on the front of a W-6?
I know thier behind radiator, and I think on top of the water neck,

Nope, Nat 2 has the right idea. The timing marks are exactly the same as an M. The timing pointer is on the crankcase front cover on the carburetor side of the engine. If the tractor is very greasy, you may need to clean the grease off to find it. It is about 3/4 of an inch long and about 1/2 inch in diameter. There are 3 notches in the water pump pulley flange. The notch out by itself is not used on a W6 and indicates that the grease fitting for the pilot bearing is lined up with the peep hole in the casting of the bellhousing on a Farmall M. (I say it isn't used, because the W6 has the hole located about 30 or 40 degrees off from the bottom of the casting; the W6 still has a grease fitting for the pilot bearing, just that you need to use trial and error to find it) The other two marks are very close to each other. The one you want is the first mark that comes up when turning the engine over in its operational (running) direction (clockwise when standing at the front of the tractor. If you are looking at the timing pointer, it should be at TDC when it is in register with the lower of the two notches on the pulley. Also, while you are in the area, please note the grease fitting on the crankshaft support bracket, it should be greased every once in a while.(A Farmall M or a Super W6 with a channel frame will not have the grease fitting on the crank)

I'm not sure why the mark would be up there... Normally timing marks are on the crankshaft pulley, the one at the very bottom behind the radiator. There are usually two notches in the back edge of the pulley, but sometimes only one. There should be a pointer built into the front cover of the engine in the same general location, on the left side.
