pondman; These tractors ( 460 and 560 ) are known to be bad about starting. Once had a 560 that wouldn't start when hot without using the glow plugs. My present tractor is a 460 ute and will not start without a little ether ( bad valves ). In regard to the lines going to the front of the tractor, on mine there is a set of water heater hose lines going to a small tank heater mounted on the frame rail, could be that someone had once had something like this mounted and removed the tank and left the lines. There are no hard hydraulic type lines going anywhere near the front bolster. As far as the clutch goes maybe Hugh Mackay can help you with that as he has great experience with these tractors. inho if the clutch is slipping, it usually means a split and replace. Good luck and be careful, these old tractors are very heavy and positionly unstable. Tom
