Just got off the phone with the Case IH dealer for about the fourth time...GRRRR!! The first place I went to told me the part was obsolete. So I looke on the website and found the part numbers myself (not listed as obsolete) and called a different dealer as I was not impressed by the parts dept of the first one. (previous experiences also) Well it's been a week and a half and they still do not have an idea of what happened to my order. I'm not impressed at all with the service.

Does anyone know if NAPA or any other place that I could get a seals from like you can get bearings? The part numbers are 610870C92 and 63089D. The first I believe is the seal that goes around the brake drum next to the bearings. The other goes on the end of the bull shaft that the brake drums fits on, if I have'nt reversed them.

You don't even need the numbers. Get the OD and ID, take them to your favorite bearing and seal store, and they'll fix you up.

610870C92 crosses to Napa 28686 $18.49. 63089D does not cross to a Napa number. Google Napa and goto their website. They have an online cross referance. 610870C92 also crosses to John Deere RE13181 $9.25. I have found that Deere has the cheapest prices on seals. Goto the Deere online parts site to cross numbers with Deere numbers.

Will look and see if I have the numbers but the last seals for the brks I ordered from dealer came in a dealer package but were c/r seals. I think they were like $19.00 ea so took the c/r number to NAPA, they got them for $9.00 same seal different package!! If you have the old seal or measure can measure the od and id of the seal they can order that way also!!

This is a common problem with some dealers today. Call Brad Marshall as he will be more than glad to help and he specializes in old Farmalls. 1-888-824-0544

John - Try your local industrial bearing supply house. Mine was able to cross the IHC seal numbers to Chicago or Nat'l Rawhide equivalents, and then had the seals in stock. Also the price was considerably less than what C-IH dealer wanted.
