I have a Farmall 100 with a c-123 that I pull 2500 and 3000 on a transfer sled. I would like to change the govenor springs to get it to turn up a little more. Does anybody have any ideas? I would also like to do the same on my Farmall 504.

I went over to my local hardware and purchased several springs of equal size. Played with a couple of them and settled on one. High speed is now 2400 rpm on my C123. Great road speed RPM.

Hi
I have been rebuilding these engines and when an engine is in good shape I will change the governor spring to part no. 369686R2 which is out of a 340 and that will increase the speed to 2250 rpm full load speed. If you want the engine to be at it's best rebuild the governor as well. If you want to go this route email me and I will give you the list of parts.

You would need heavier governor weights. Don't think just springs will do it. You can speed it up a little by adjusting high idle. The adjustment screw is on top of governor housing. Place the throttle lever to wide open and turn screw to increase speed.
