Guys,
Can you please explain to me how to set a carb float on my 56 300U. I have the throttle body in a vice, the float is hanging in an angle. What part of the bottom of it do I measure the 1 27/32 to the bottom of the gasket which is above? Do I use the little tab on the hinge to change the height? Am I missing the whole thing??

Thanks a bunch

Turn it upside down and measure that way. the float should be set from the gasket. A caliper is nice, but the setting is not super critical within 1/32" JimN
