The formula is area times height.
area is= to Pi times the radius squared
Then multiply that times the height.

Rinse the tank first with gasoline then with acetone and or lacuer thinner and let it dry. then rinse with water. It may be ok to water crops with but I wouldn't drink it yet.

Pi (3.1416) R squared L gives you the volume in cubic inches. I don't know how many cubic inches in a gallon, maybe someone else will know. R == 1/2 the diameter times itself times the length times pi. Have I got you confused by now?

Area of the circle times length equals volume.
Area of a circle is pi(radius squared)
Since you have diameter, 1/2 is the radius.
31 divided by 2 equals 15.5 in
15.5 times 15.5 times 3.1416 equals 754.77 square inches.
754.77 times 56 equals 42,267.12 cubic inches.
There is 231 cubic inches per gallon.
42,267.12 divided by 231 equals 182.97 gallons.
