I totally agree, which makes the whole "argument" moot, really. I want to get rid of this and put on a proper NF with two wheels.

The search continues to find one that won't break the bank!

I'm not gonna touch this subject. Have at it but be nice. All I know is you can put anything on anything. Lots of options back then. Go to caseih.com. David.

That looks like the same front wheel set up that I have on my 1940 B.

I like you Allan, I really do. You've been exceptionally nice to me for over a year on these boards. That's why it pains me to watch you go down in flames, especially by my ammo.

Like I've told you, I've seen both.

The brackets are for a bean cutter. He had a deal on there that parted the rows. Ron

I think so to. My old book from 1947 shows the small wheel on H's and M's. Not one pic of the larger wheel except on cotton pickers. It does say that either were available. It also says that on later models wheel type and construction could differ.

My dad's 47 H had both a NF and a factory 6-16 SF. I have never seen one with the small SF. The tractor was level.

That is what I am saying. I think either were available depending on preference and region maybe. See photo above.

Yes "I think" you.ve called that one right. That front wheel looks about as "stock" as that straight exhaust. But then what do I know, cause I'm "all blow and no go." I have however frequently been wrong, and even here.

Yeah, that C wheel is correct, it just has some extra crap welded on to it, tow bar bracket maybe? As for the cast vs. steel I really do not know, I had a SF M that was cast.

I would guess, since the tractor is located out in Idaho, the little guy was used to push a bean cutter and that part mounted the center row divider.

I've used "clamp around" 1/2 x 1 1/2" steel for the same purpose.
