Got a new set of tires yesterday for the H. Front and rear. PRICEY! but I figure they are not going to get cheaper so I had better just bite the bullet.

I want to get new tires for my Farmall H and my John Deere A, but I'm 14 and don't have the money for new tires.

New tires make a lot of difference. Not only do the look good but they grip better too. Remember how old and hard your old tires were. The new ones should be soft and sticky. You should have much better traction now. Dave.

Brandy spankin new Goodyears 6 ply 12.4 38 and 5.50 16 6 ply fronts. I got these tires cheaper than I could get 4 plys locally, but had to drive 80 miles. They put them on free though so It was still a better deal. The Old tires are possibly originals. they were the old size Goodyear 11x38 4 ply and still had matching goodyear tubes in them. They are still useable but are hard.

I have heard/read that Goodyear's farm tire business was sold to Titan, perhaps the dealer was getting rid of his inventory. Firestone 6 ply, 13.6-38/6.00-16 cost me over $1000 this sring.

I put new Firestone 23 degree field and roads on my M 11 years ago. 13.6X38 6 ply for 220 a piece. They are high now ain't they?
