My 300 U hydraulic oil line, to & from the pump, leaks at the tube-to-block connection, below the seat. It's been brazed already, still leaks. Has anyone made a successful repair? How? Tube inserted inside? More braze? ????

I have repaired one sucessfully a few years ago. The suction pipe, the larger one was broke off inside the block and had also been brazed. I removed the block, made and welded a new one in its place. I did have access to machine tools when I did this. I clamped a block to the existing line so I could make sure the new one maintained the proper length. (Did not have access to a portable welder or I would have welded the pipes and block in assembly on the tractor.) Cut the old block off close to the exisiting, making sure you have good pipe to weld to. The new block was twice the thickness of the old to make up for the pipe that was cut off. Machined the O ring grooves and bolt holes then positioned the block on the cleaned up ends of the pipes and welded it. The harded part was keeping the block in the right position while welding. If you are able and careful, tack weld the block in assembly on the tractor and remove it and finish weld on the bench. Hope this helps and obviously it was easier for me with the equipment I had.

I will look and see if I still have the drawing I made for the block and you are welcome to use it. A good machine shop could make it easily. Good luck.
