Changed over from mag to distributor while I"m getting mag rebuilt, put in new voltage regulator and light switch/ammeter box I bought at bone yard (works ok); but when I throttle up or go up hill with no implement behind, engine wants to stall, carb seems to suck more air but it seems like fuel resticted and doesn"t want to keep firing until I push throttle handle forward to throttle down. Looked at governor, no broken parts but I"m not sure if that could be the problem or something else. Sound familiar?
Thanks if you can help
John :)

My irst thought is an air leak.

Make sure your manifold is torqued down well and that the carb is tight up to the manifold.

But with the electrical work you've been doing, I'd suggest re-checking all your connections, especially your ground.

You may be a little bit off on the distributor timing. Did it have this problem when you had the mag on it?

Whatever you do, don't say; "Okay Houston, going with throttle up." The results could prove disasterous!
