I am looking at one to buy for my son to use on some pasture & weeds.
Thank you

Great mowers! Like already mentioned, mounting and removing can be a pain, but if you have the kick stand, a block of wood, and follow what the manual tells it"s not too bad.

Many parts common to all balanced head mowers and still available at local CIH or CNH dealer.

What tractor are you putting it on? I had one and it was a great mower except taking it on and off. It always took about 20 minutes but maybe I just did not have the best routine.

We basically wore out 2 of these. Very good mowers. Really check for play or looseness in the balanced head. Grasp the pully and work it back and forth. Look for up and down motion in the pitman. They need to be maintained, like anything. Keep good ledger plates and hold down clips and a good sharp sickle and they work real good. You can also adjuste the angle of the bar itself. I know we had to tilt the bar so the guards were tilted back more. We used to have trouble with mouse nests hanging up on the ends of the guards.

Pretty sturdy mowers. I use a IH 1300 balanced head sickle mower on a 3 point hitch and it works well. Same basic parts as the 120.

They are very good mowers and will work on almost any tractor. Parts are available at IH.
