Punch the link for a few shots from the Churchville NY Lions Country Fair and Antique Tractor show this past weekend.

We enjoyed near ideal weather conditions again this year - a very nice show!

Bob: Nice photos, can't make up my mind whether your just making sure that SM throttle doesn't slip notches or your just trying to get another 50 rpms. Which ever it is you must have done it right, coming in the 1st.

One year I'm going to make Churchville show. I was tempted this past weekend, but chose the Western Ontario Steam Threshers show, a mere 20 miles away. The deciding factor, WOST was hosting the North American Oliver show, and that one is not apt to be this close again for awhile. I was a bit disappointed we didn't see more Olivers from south of the border, there were a few but not the numbers I expected. I expect the border crossing had some effect. They had this show plan in place for some time. I remember meeting up with a Canadian Oliver guy at Canadian Customs two years ago, he was not happy with some of the red tape. I expect Canadian govt wanted 8% goods and services tax on tractors coming in, and one could get it back when the tractor went home.

I assured Paul you were being humble, I see facial features from both gene pools.

OK Bob, I guess no one else is going to say it. How did a guy that looks like you get such nice looking daughters? That like tractors also for goodness sakes.

Paul: Bob is being humble, having met both Mr. and Mrs. M, I see facial features from both gene pools. When it comes to young ladies, I have no comments below the shoulders, except to say these young ladies are tall.

I'd be willing to bet these young couples are the same type of fine people we met near Rochester close to 3 years ago.

Ummmm....I guess the girls got their looks from "the Divine Mrs M". (They sure as h*ll didn't get it from me!)

Their interest in old tractors on the other hand....

Mornin Bob, Nice pics as usual!!! The Super M lookin good, and that fancy hat youve got must do the trick for full pulls :")

BTW, the ammeter grommets on the back bracket kind of disentegrated so I made some new ones at work out of delrin af. I would think that any plastic should be OK ? Any comments on that ?

Thanks Scotty! The stars 'n stripes hat must be good luck. My Super M was good for 1st at 5,500# again this year(!)

----

Delrin will be ideal for replacement ammeter bracket insulator bushings. However most any other plastic (plexiglas, bakelite, nylon, etc.) will work fine.

That Uncle Sam M looked pretty neat, but do those mini-oxen run on Ultra Low Sulpher or regular fuel?

Denny - To the best of my knowledge the oxen run on the precursor product to cellulosic ethanol (grass).

BTW they are definitely NOT "low emission". Many city folk were dumfounded by what came out them every so often.

Bob M, Thanks for sharing those great pictures. If I was 40 years younger I"d move to tractor country. Not a lot of tractors up here in Northern Vermont. Thanks Again. Dick in Vermont.
