Yesterday i used the tractor and the hydraulics seemed sluggish, Seemed like it did not respond to the one valve normanly )today i checked the filter ( someone added it before i owned the Tractor )I thougth i would try it without the element,,Now i get no hydraulic movement of any kind I removed pump and took it apart it seems fine.It did lift a heavy load yeserday just very slow ) Today it seem like no fluid is even getting to the pump ?? I bled the filter housing and even applied some air pressure to resovour but still nothing ??Perhaps a stuck check valve or something?? any ideas would be appreciated Dave

Loosen the suction line at the pump Then put some compressed air to the reservoir.I.m thinking now the pump is lower than the reservoir so you probably won.t need air.I had mine apart several years ago and remember it air locking, Good Luck.

Dave, I just today finished working on my 300 Utility that had a similar problem. There is a 2" x 12" cylindrical screen in the reservoir under the seat that was plugged solid on mine. You have to remove the top half of the cast housing to get to it. Not the easiest job, but not terrible either. Go to CaseIH parts online and look at the parts breakdown to get a better idea what you`re in for,if this indeed is your problem. Good luck,Mark
