Feels like fall. 55 degrees and a good slow soaking rain in central Minnesota.

OH PLEASE LET IT RAIN HERE!!!! I saw a cornfield today in west central Indiana (just north of Sullivan on HWY 41), that got missed by most of the little rain we have had this month was turning brown and the ears have dropped on the high spots. it was shriveled pretty good in the low spots but still a little green left. We did have some guys get an early planting that took well and that could be one of those fields, but not sure. Everything around locally is in bad shape. The last few storms have Split and went by without more than a few drops. Saw some queen annes lace in my yard that look like they have been sprayed with roundup, tops sagged over and going south. that stuff grows great in sand and gravel pits on the hills but this dry is too much for it.

Had about 0.15" last night in a thunderstorm. Somewhere around 115 degrees today, too. YUCK!

On the farm in SW ND they got about an inch and a half a couple days ago. Has held up harvest, but rain is always welcome in my world! third party image

We are headed up there to a class reunion in St. Cloud in a few weeks, and cool weather sounds great to us. We are tired of this Texas heat, and are looking forward to cooling off.

We are at 106 now, heat index of 112. I'd love some of your weather about now! It'll be here before you know it though.

In St. Cloud, it is a very nice soild downpour about a 1/2 inch per hour. We needed it in june-july, nor it will keep the trees from dying That is very good, I wish the local farmers the tenacity to stay withit and not sell out to developers. JimN

I checked the gauge this evening and had 35/100s . It came slow enough to do some good although it is too late for this year"s crops. It will still help the tomatoes before they freeze.
