I'm to the point with my '54 SH restoration where I could start to reassemble it. Problem is the one and a half car garage I have to work in. Once I start putting her back together, Momma's car stays outside, in the soon to be winter (Wisconsin) weather. So, I must do as I always do and finish virtually every sub-assembly first and then do the final fit and finish in a couple of weekends. It's at this time that I think of all of the great workshop photos that I've seen posted over the years and stew in my jealousy. Enjoy it if you've got it. :-)

What is this "in the soon to be winter (Wisconsin) weather." business??? Over a month of summer and fall is beautiful and then a nice Indian summer. Then the unexpected Halloween blizzard. You have 'plenty time'. Me Vernon County, the driftless area, where ya @? Attached two vehicle and unattached two vehicle and still not enough room. I want a round barn!

Hey Al, just think of all the row crop tractors that would fit in a round barn! Sweet! Fulton county IN I think has the most round barns in the US, do a search like the "fulton county historical society" they just built one at the museum a few years ago. As for my barn, the floor space seems to have disappaered under all the "stuff". Good thing I built it tall so a loft can go in.

I'm in Waukesha. Maybe it is a little early to talk winter but the time is flying by. I travel quite a bit and hunting season is coming so my tractor time gets squeezed in the fall. Vernon Cty. is awesome. My wife and I have driven almost every mile of the driftless area from Grant to Pepin Cty. Usually around the second week of October when the fall colors are at their best. Actually, as long as the SH is ready for the '09 RPRU I'll be happy.
