I still can't get logged on to the modern view. It will not accept my password. How do you contact YT about this.

You can't. It's a compromise they had to make in Modern View to get it to work with the Classic software. They are looking into it, but don't know when or if they can incorporate it successfully.

As far as what you can do now, but hit the reply button in the specific post you want to reply to. If it's the original post, reply there. (It keeps things a little more neat on the classic side) Then highlight that text and write over it.

I hate the modern veiw forum and never use it. If you have a problem, post over on the Site Comments discussion forum. Kim or Chris will help you out.

Thanks Mike, I will try that. I use the same name(georgeky) and the same password on all my accounts and spell it the same way every time. It just started this about 4 or 5 days ago. Say's I have entered an invalid user name or password.

Well, it said the same thing to me. But, in my case, it was the truth! (I'm guilty.) Regardless, they got me going with the new version. (They were very helpful.) I am not totally comfortable with it yet, but am experimenting and getting more familiar with it as time goes on. Take care, ol' buddy.

In my post below, I said to delete the quotes -- but if you do that, it is hard to tell who you are replying to, best to leave them in unless it is obvious whose response you are answering.

George,

Over on the left side of this page, clear down at the bottom is a "Forum Feedback".

Go in there and tell Kim. She watches that like a hawk. She probably hasn't set you up yet on that other side.

AND, YOU'RE NO DUMMY!!!!! !!!!! :>)

Allan

Well Allan, I told you I was a dummy. It was too simple I guess. I was looking right over it every time. I knew it was suppose to be there. It's must be the heat. 100 today, a little more just to the west 20 miles. Stayed up till 4 AM last night canning tomato's.

George: I found out why it would not accept my user ID and password. Sometime over the years I had moved the hyphen in my user ID. Never knew it....!

Jeepers, I do not even know my password any more. Georgky, I quit canning tomatoes years ago. Way too much work. Just put them in a bag and toss them in the freezer. When you want to use them for sauce or whatever, just hold them under a hot water tap for a couple of seconds and the skin will fall off then put them in the pot. Do we need a Martha Stewart section on this forum? I am looking for a simple way to make blackberry jam. Anyway back to my tractors.

Karl, I have been through too many ice storms to rely on electicity. I have been without it for more than 10 days on 2 or 3 different occasions. Lots of 3 and 4 day stretches.

Good grief, George.

The last multi-day outage here in Eastern MA was in 1955 with hurricane Carol. It was a ten day outage and alot of fun for an 11 year old. Car crashes and ice storms are usually the cause nowadays.

Now, I suppose you are going to tell me that you didn't even have electricity in 1955.

Didn't have running water until 1973. Drew water from a sulpher well, and thats the truth. We have large areas of forest on very steep terrain and the ice storms are really hard on the lines here. The last two times were in 94. 10 days in Feb and 7 in March.

I can believe it. We had a 6 or 7 day outtage right here in NW OH about 2 years ago from an ice storm. Alot of the houses in the area did not have electricity before 1950 or so. To this day alot of the farms in the area don't have any power to the outbuildings. Most are down long driveways and the sevice line is not heavy enough. Power company won't change to a heavier line without charging for it.

When we finally got a phone we could'nt use it. One of those party lines you know. Every time I picked it up my grandma and her friend were gabbing about absolutely nothing and would not hardly get off either.
