I put an ad it the local paper looking for a small older baler and a fella called who has an International t-50 baler with a 4-cylinder engine. He said it works fine....is this a decent baler, and how much horsepower would I need to pull it? Thanks!

My grandpa Adolph had a T 50, or 45 that he used to bale hay all over the country back then. He didnt let all the water out of the radiator and the engine froze up and busted. It was, back then, a dang good bailer. Cant imagine what one wpould be like now. But then, Im using a 1960 vintage Case W 140 baler, and it still works good. He used an A JD. I use a CC Case on mine. Good luck finding needles if u need them

My dad used to pull a T-50 with an SC Case and/or his dad's H Farmall. No, the T-50 was not a great baler - 50s vintage before balers were more refined. I have not seen one in many years.
