im selling my H but was thinking about buying a super H but it has a bad axle seal how hard are they to replace

looked in my manual and says nothing about if i should change the fluids so i guess i will any who ... couple of questions tho theres alot of fluid in there so after i drain it how do i get the sludge out i heard about keroseane but how do i drain and add fluid also where do i bring the fluid when im done

we always put a little white lithium grease on new seal [rubber surface] a little breakin if you want to call it good luck

Save yourself a lot of work. DOn't pull the wheel. Take a razor blade and gut the seal at 12 oclock. Install and put a ribbon of black rtv on the almost invisible crack.

Pat: Duck soup from what I am told. I am getting ready to do it on my SH. Go the the caseI/H parts diagrams. They show how simple it really is. Basically, jack tractor, pull the wheel, remove the bearing cap, change the seal, reinstall cap. Be careful not to damage the seal on some rough surface when you reinstall the cap over the axle. mike
