Ira: There are three rows of head bolts, 5 in each row for 15 head bo;ts to torque down.
The sequence is #1 very center of the head bolt in the middle row.#2 is same row just immediately behind the radiator hose connection.
#3 is same middle row, just behind the first one #4 is middle of the left side row.#5is straight across from 3 and 1 on the right side middle. #6 across from # 2 on left side.#7 across from #3 on left side.#8 right side across from #2, #9 across from #3 on right side. Up front Nearest radiator. is Left #10,Middle #11 and right,#12. To the rear, #13,left side, #14 center, and # 15,right. 45 # is the proper torque. Good luck !! Jim B.

In a Cub service manual is a good place. If you don't have one you should get one as they are a very important source of all kinds of info for your tractor. The cylinder head torques at 45 lbs. Connecting rods at 16 lbs. Main caps at 55 lbs.
