What is the ratio on the h rocker arms.

The stock H cam has 0.202" lift. The valve lift is 11/32" (0.34375"). The rocker ratio works out to 1.7:1.

A quick search on the pulling forum says 1.65 to 1. Can't verify it though.

I measured the lift on the cam and wanted to back track it to the valve to see what the actual lift was on the valve.Cam is out of the engine just wanted to check how much wear there was.

I don't know off the top of my head... guess you could break out the dial indicator, stand and calculator and do some measuring...

Lift @ valve with zero lash set / Lift at Tappet = Rocker Arm Ratio

I would guess that it is 1-1/2 to 1, but I really don't know for sure. You should be able to measure one and find out for sure. He is talking about the distance from the center of the valve stem to the center of the rocker shaft, compared to the distance from the center of the rocker shaft to the center of your pushrod. If you stretch the ratio a little you gain some valve lift.

You can check it by measuring from the center of the rocker shaft hole to both the valve end and pushrod end where they contact. If the same length both ways the ratio is 1-1. Sounds like you are building a hotrod. Increasing the ratio gets you more lift on the valve.

Not sure what ratio you're asking about.

If it's the valve clearance gap you're looking for, the book calls for 0.017" hot

If you mean valve settings, 020" cold is what most folks here say.

Here is a link to specs, notice it says 017', guessing that is warm

I guess that I will be the first to ask. What do you mean by "ration on the h rocker arms"? I am not the smartest man in the world but I have never heard of this expression.
