Hey Guys I"m up here at Dad"s in Iowa trying to rewire and revive his old Super M. The old wire is kind of cobbled up and not right, and it has been swithed to 12 volt. Does any one have a wiring diagram that would show with the push pull switch, starter switch, and alt. wires. I guess basically all of it. Also I am relativelly sure the alt. is bad since when I turned it a bunch of mud dobber nest came out and any suggestions around that until I can get it rebuilt. Thanks, Travis

Travis - Presuming your SM was converted using Delco internally-regulated alternator, the link below has the wiring diagram you need!

Thank you Kindly for the info.
Also Should I just get rid of the the push/pull switch(on off) and the push button starter and go with A key ignition?
Thanks Travis

That is probably not needed. My Super M has been converted to 12v and still has the push pull switch. I beleive those swithes can handle the higher voltage and amps. Hope your having fun! -David Goode Coggon, IA

Doc:
Also, you may find a copy of the original 6-volt w/generator wiring for a super M in the back of the O.E.M. Tractor Parts catalog.
As far as the push-pull switch, why get rid of it? Most of the guys are buying them and putting them back on their tractors. If children play on the tractor from time to time, then maybe the key on/off would be a good idea for safety reasons. Otherwise, it's a personal preference. Good luck. mike durhan
