Just to let you know that they mad approx 1% of the super mta's with out the t.a The emblem looks like a super m emblem but just says super mta. No wing. I seen one myself i din't get to drive it. I also wondered how it could be a super mta....but the is the model. like i said one out of a hundred were made like this. find a SMDTA with factory deleate of ta would be a rare one. even more more would be a SMDTAV with factory delete t.a. T know they dint make many high crop diesels of the super mta series.

I believe the precentage was much more than one percent. The Memphis District sold lots of tractors and a large precentage sold in that district were without TA's. In 1963, Delta Implement in Greenville, MS was awarded for selling more new tractors than any other IH dealer in the world that year. Almost all of those were sold without TA. No TA was the preference from the SMTA through the 1970's.

There are quite a few T/A deletes in the Mississippi Delta. I have 2 of them.
