Don't know where you're located but double mowers are pretty much the norm here in the Sandhills. More guys switching to swathers all the time.

We run the Rowse mowers with NH heads.

Yep, when I was a kid we ran two sets of double-bar mowers along with a Super A with a single 7-ft bar....being a kid I got to run the Super A of course....sure wished I had an extra bar to be able to cut more hay!

We also switched to swathers in the mid-80's....two of 'em with 16ft heads....sure can cut more hay in a day now than we ever could with the bar mowers....although sometimes I miss watching that grass fall behind the bar mowers.
