I have the chance to purchase an F20 its on steel and been sitting under a big pecan tree for around 30 + years now. I know the history of this tractor and who the only 2 owners were. As with all old iron i know its priceless as none are being made any more. My question is dollar wise, what are they worth totaly restored.

If that tractor was with in 300 miles from me. I would be on it like white on rice. I would not want this to happen but you could get twice that for scrap. Bill

That's a good deal. It is very hard to find a F-20 on steel. When they are restored, they usually go around $2000-$3000, but more if it is on steel and if the steel is good.

I probably couldnt sell it after restoration anyway. My blood is John Deere green but somehow i cant get this one out of my mind. And did i mention i can get it for the large sum of $75.00, kinda hard to turn down, even if i didnt restore it i could still look at it, and that is what its all about to me just keeping it from the scrap iron dealers.

Around here we generally figured $100 a wheel for F20 steel, and maybe another $50 to $100 for the dead tractor. Last year I needed to come up with some wheels and had to give $500 for a full set. Seventy Five bucks?????

Never keep track of time and materials when doing a restoration. That way you can always make money on it.

He might not get his money out of it, BUT it sure is satisfying after it's done. The stories and memories of redoing it are priceless.

They are worth quite a bit when restored. Why sell it when done anyway?

Randy, GO FOR IT!!! Especially if there is history behind that tractor and you know what it is. Doug N
