I spent all last week cutting wood at Dads place. Great time! I cut wood all day, split, stacked, jumped in the lake for a bath, cooked dinner on the fire and had a cold brew to call it a day. I had tiki torches set up at camp and of course my kero lanterns, so I filled up the kero jug on the way over there. price was 2.79. I didn't think that was too bad considering how prices have been around here as the station here in town has it for $3.60. I may have to run the F-12 on it if gas goes back up again. The H ran great all week except for when I first got down there. it ran like crud, but there seemed to be some oil inside the dist cap, cleaned it out and all is good.

Thanks for sharing your 'fun' w/us, as it sounds like you had a great time. Where ya from and where is 'dad's' place; far enough you don't get there much? Curious as we often find the most fun back at our 'roots' and doing stuff we did when younger. Any photographic images to share with us red iron fans? Take care.

I am in Hymera, IN which is in west central Indiana. Dads Place is 45 min west of here and is just 90 acres of woods full of big trees. Nice place way back off the road and surrounded with state forest. I have the 48 M the 51 H and the 35 F-12 over there doing various odd jobs. The M has the 3 point hitch and mows grades and loads logs on the trailer, the H pulls logs up the hill and snakes them out of the woods. the F-12 usually pulls the 29 model A pickup trailer with firewood, but hasn't done much because the H has been a blast to drive and is quicker in 4th. My digital camera died so I took a few shots with my 35mm cam, but have to get them developed so there will be pics soon. Where you at in WI. I have friends near Watertown/Juno and used to get up there a lot. Always a good time up there partying with the cheeseheads!

NW of Hugh Mac Kay in reply to Bob Kerr, 08-05-2007 09:03:28
I live in SW Wisconsin, Vernon County, the driftless area, the most beautiful country in America! It is a (-) minus longitudinal direction and a more northern latitude from Hugh Mac Kay. With a state forest around the property, you won't have to worry about neighbors encroaching on you, that would be nice. I will be looking for your pictures. Enjoy your day.
