Cue P.;I can't Confirm that tire size.I would imagine that the later ones could be ordered as you wished. Maybe some one else out there knows for sure.

The early W-4 had 24 inch rims. I have a 1941 W-4 with the original 3-piece 24 inch rims. The original tyres, according to the sales brochures, were 11.25-24 or 13.5-24. About 1943 IH switched to 26 inch one-piece galvanized rims. The early rims were painted red like the rest of the tractor.

Hmmm - i too have 14.9-26 Armtrongs which say "on 13 inch rim". Yet when i measure rim(w/o removing the tire yet)it looks like 12 inch. My repro manual from Binder Books says they're 12-26s - i have the original manual but that doesnt list rim sizes. Guess i have to remove the tire to eb sure as new rims are around 200 bucks!

The H is built with an 18 inch width frame and the M is 20 inches wide. If you hood is about 18" it is for a W4. If it is about 20" it would be for a W6.

W4 - off topic but can you confirm for me the size of the rear rims on a W4? Is 12x26 correct or are they 13? Were all W4s standard rim sizes? Any help much appreciated.
