50 cars into the river, also 20 construction workers fall into river. traffic was bumper to bumper in rush hour traffic. tune to directv ch 360 fox news channel for further info..... my aunt just crossed the bridge 5 min befor it plundged into the river. she is very lucky.

Ya it also fell on top of a train that was drossing below it at the time, Luckily it was a freight train, not a passenger one, and it fell on the cars and not the locomotives.

There is also a school bus at one end of it just back from a semi that went up in flames.

I'm listening live from KARE 11 via MSN. apparently there was construction work going on on the bridge at the time.

they closed the locks at dam number 2 to slow water flow to aid in recovery efforts. it is not a rescue effort. bridge was at least 70 feet into air

civilins "kids" helping rescue workers..... bridge fell in at 6;10 pm rush hour bumper to bumper plunged into the great river.... huge sections gone..... .

Cell towers jammed..... as people try to call for help/see if there ok..... 139,000 people use the bridge every day.... deparment of homeland security says it is NOT a terrist attack.....
