Any idea where to get a rebuild kit for a 360687 r91 hydraulic pump? I can't find this pump part number listed anywhere. The seal is 98-212 CR and it leaks oil into the engine block.

Thanks,
Joe

Mine must be the Thompson because I have a "o" ring that seals the shaft where it goes thru the cover and it leaks there. My first one was shot and I couldnt find one the right size to replace it so I made one but didnt get it right either because it got too hot and distorted and leaked the oil out again. Shaft is still good after the last repair job. I just need the correct "O" ring.
Any idea where a guy could get one?

There are 3 kits available. One for Pesco,Cessna and Thompson. Brad has them in stock at 1-888-824-0544. He probably has just the o ring as well, but I didn't ask him that. Just give him a call and he will fix you up. He will need the number off your pump.

What brand of pump is it ?

My SC has a pump no. 384 508 R90. It is a Cessna pump from a 130 or 140. Your IH dealer should have a 'where used' listing for it. The kit for my pump was nla from IH. An old Cessna distributor in Washington state had the kit.

There is two types of seals that were used take your pump off then you will know which type you need along with a speedy sleeve if the shaft is worn. Any parts house can get the seal or o-ring which ever you need assuming that you have parts man and not a part time dummy.

This parts breakdown should cover your hydraulic pump. You need to check the shaft where that seal
rides. It may have worn a groove into the shaft.
Speedi-sleeves are available to cover that surface.

I can't read the serial number but it is a super C with big brakes. The casting date code is "T".
Hope that helps,
Joe

Joe, those kits can be had from IH. If you don't have one in your area call Brad at 1-888-824-0544. He has them in stock and will mail it to your door. I am curious as to what you mean by big brakes? If it has band type it is a plain old C instead of Super C. I think T would make it a 1950 C.

The big brakes are compared to the Super C that I have. Your probley right and it's just a plain C. It's my neighbors and he can't remember what it is. Oh well, Thanks and I'll call Brad. The pumps that I saw had springs in them and this one does not.

Thanks,
Joe

Just give Brad that part number and he will fix you up. There seems to be lots of C's with Super C decals on them. If it has band brakes, straight clutch and brake pedals and the gas tank sits almost on the touch control box it is a C.
