Gov Tube Spacers

I think I need some spacers for my H throttle to carb tube. Doesn't matter how much I try to cheat either in, there just isn't enough tube to span. The linkage seems to be hooked up right, but I think the tube puts pressure on the shaft disabling the carb? Sound right? And what can I use for spacers?
Thanks,

Bri

There are at least two different lengths of those tubes. Might even be three. I'm thinking that maybe you have the wrong one?

Why am I not surprised. I'm starting to think someone cobbled a tractor togther to sell me for my first. Not very nice. Another item I need to get from "up on the hill", where Grandad keeps all the old tractors.

Thanks

I'm assuming this is the same H you were asking a few days ago? If so, when yo go to look for used parts, make sure the tractor that the part comes off of is an exact match. If you can't find one, I think I can get them new.
