Local JD dealer has had a Hydro 186 sitting on the lot for a while. My friend works there and knowing I have REDS said I should check it out. Shows 5000 hrs, seems solid & quiet and smooth as silk. He'd take my 3010D, which he knows I'm not impressed with and very little boot. Both have good rubber and canopies. I know the 186 is a lot bigger horse; I don't need another big horse right now-but the trade is tempting. The hydro is smooth and quiet. Opinions?

Would they allow you to take a sample of the hydraulic and engine oil and send it in for analysis?

Hydro is a nice feature to have when haying or doing any loader work. The Hydro will NOT work well with any type of heavy pulling or tillage work.

I'd say anywhere from $10k to $15k as far as what it's worth...

I would do it as the 3010 does not impress me at all. If your doing hay the hydro with its unlimited speed control can't be beat. But if the hydro pump goes it is very expensive to fix.

Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $12K.
