Recently acquired a Farmall 364 with cat 1 3point hitch. Since we have had only a Farmall 140 for decades we a have accumulated numerous one point hitch accessories. Is there are adapters that allow one point accessories to be used on a 3 three point hitch tractor. Surely hate to have to purchase 3 point hitch attachments als, but may haver to. I know this is a unusual question and would appreciate suggestions.

thanks in advance

BMD: Couple of solutions depending on the attachments or implements. It's very easy to fabricate an adaptor, using an old fast hitch socket. You could easily convert some implements to 3 point via fabrication. I'll also be willing to bet you can sell the 1 point fast hitch implements for about 40% more than you'd have to pay for similar 3 point hitch implements. Unless your a long distance away, just try me, I'll trade.

Thanks for idea for the adapter using a old fast hitch socket. Did not want to buy additional attachments just use some of the ones we have(one point). Wonder if anyone makes that type of adapter commercially? Should not be to hard to fab one up though.
Appreciate the quick reply

I saw one guy fabricated an adaptor using a 3 point hitch cross bar, fast hitch socket with an upright from that to hook top link. The moldboard plow is one item I can see creating a few problems, not just sure how the front coulter will fit under all that hitch.

I know I have a fast hitch socket here from a 560, thought about building one of those adaptors, however I don't have a 3 point tractor. As it stands right now, no one that I know within 10 miles can use or want to borrow my implements.

I had a neighbor, full time trucker, and weekend farmer with a 444 and 3 point plow, disk, cultivator, logging winch, etc. He was very generous about lending his implements, kind of tell the wife what you took. Every weekend when he decided to do some farming, he had to chase around the community finding his implements. Apparently he couldn't get his wife interested enough to write down who took what. For that reason, I've always decided it's best to have implements no one else can hook to. Did you ever notice how many guys have small 3 point tractors and not an implement to their name.

Really all you have to do is build the adaptor, and use padlocks in place of hitch pins.

Going to go with your suggestion and fabricate an adapter. In shopping around for a fast hitch coupler I have found one point hitch couplers are pretty scarce and quite pricey. Is the coupler assembly from a TWO point fast hitch the size as from a ONE point fast hitch? Or in other words,is the prongs for one and two point fast hitch the same physical size?

That would give me some flexibility when shopping for the coupler part of the adapter. For a frame I am looking at using a 3 point quick hitch adapter and welding the coupler inside it.

Thanks for the advice....

brmtgd: There are two sizws of forks and receivers. Small ones were used on SC, 200 and 230 only. Everything else used large fork.

Thanks Hugh , you have been a great help. One last question I promise.. Is the fork/receiver for the SC/200/230 (smaller size) TWO point fast hitch the same physical size as the the fork receiver of the ONE point fast hitch.

brmtgd: All one point are large fork. I have the parts for making what you want and intend to use it someday. My receiver came from a Farmall 560.

Only those 3 tractors I metioned SC, 200 and 230 ever used the small fork. I have seen early Cubs with same small fork, but that only lasted very short while. Most Cubs have large fork receiver.
