I have been offered a super c farmall with cultivators just behind the front wheels. I worry about the narrow front end and would like to hear if I can swap the front end with a wide front and add hydraulics. it has a good pto and it looks all original. My friends grandad was the original owner. I am looking for something to work on and mow a 45 acre farm and plant a crop when I can.

I wouldn't change the narrow frontend and it should have hydraulics unless someone removed it.
Some had the fasthitch and I liked that on the tractor I had. Hal

George, don't worry about that front end as they are very stable. I have mowed hills here in Ky for years and no problems at all. You can put a wide front under it, but like Ron said it is not near as easy to operate, and the tricycle is best for cultivating. These are great little tractors that will do more work than you would think. Just run the tractor with care and get the feel of it. With the rear wheel widened out it will navigate fairly steep terrain with ease. It already has hydraulics, but a remote valve to the rear can be added. Send me an email and I will send pics of the hydraulic set up. It will be tomorrow before I can though.

I have a 1954 Super C with touch control but I want to add a quick hitch. Can you send me some pictures of your rear hydraulic set-up

The narrow front is best for cultivating. The wide front is too hard to turn. The Super C should have hydraulics. So unless you are a "hillside farmer" you already have the best setup.
