Yes they are available. Get your billfold out as they are quite high. Bates Corp has them at 500 dollars per hole. That is piston, rings, sleeve and pins.

Doug, I looked up the other parts and here is the bill. S&P 2000,rod bearings 85 a piece, main bearings 525 per set. head gasket 133.59 and other gaskets 150.00. If my adding is right that comes to 3178.59. That ain't bad. Another 7 or 800 for machine work and your in business.

Not bad...LOL...heck they cost close to that new. Why the heck would they be so high for engine parts? My F-12 pistons and sleeves will only be about $360 something. Doug N

I don't know, I am guessing it is due to fact that not to many W-9's are around and being fixed. It also might be one of those because they can type things. My 350 and 450 both cost around 2 to 2500 for engine kits for them. By the time you figure in machine work, fuel system work, water pumps and various other expenses it runs in to quite a pile. I gave over 300 bucks for a rebuilt water pump for the 350 about 15 years ago. Don't you know they are a lot cheaper than that now. They ask me 600 just to put in throttle shaft seals on it, so I bought the seal and gasket kit and a Blue Ribbon service manual and done it myself. Cost 22.50 for the manual off ebay and 42 dollars for the kit. 64.50 was a lot better than 600, and I feel like I can fix the other one for the 450 now.

Yep, pretty high ain't they. I didn't even check on the gaskets and bearings. Seen all I needed to with that 500 per whole. IH may have then but I dought they would be any cheaper. By the time you got the rebuilt, you wouldn't have to worry about how much gas it burned. I would be to broke to buy any.
