Help!! I somehow let water get in one cylinder and locked it.I got it loose but need new rings for it. It is the original 3 inch piston and I cannot find a source. I really only need them for the one piston, the rest are still in good shape. Can anyone tell me where I can get them? All I can find are for the overbore sizes.

Thanks

Hastings will sell you what you need (probably NOT cheap, though)!

Also, try Dave Otto.

You can try an auto parts store like Napa to see if they can get just 3 piston rings. You will need the width of the rings or ring lans off the piston. You should run a glaze breaker thru the sleeve so the new rings will seat themselves. You should take a look at the rod bearings too.

My IH manual has the 2 compression rings width at .125" and the oil ring at .250". You need to double check these. Hal
PS: Some oil rings were .1875"
