I was going to re grind them myself but maybe
the cam grinder can do it I was thinking of Berry cams they are not to far from me.
Once you get into these old engines its hard to know where to stop. Its amazing what was done in the past on this tractor there was a 3/32 ring in a 1/8 ring groove top compression ring I am sure this was the start of it down fall. Then as long as you have the front end off might as well fix that to.On and on fun fun

Lifter contact surfaces As stated below in many cases have a very shallow crown on them. This is almost unmeasurable, and might be best seen in a piece of glass. they would not rock more than a tiny bit when checked. If you can see aby roundness, it is toast. if there is cupping it is toast. In both cases, the cam is also toast (it might be regrindable, but no way is it ok to put new lifters on a cam that has had a bad lifter run on it. JimN

The bottoms of lifters on many (if not all) flat tappet car engines have a very slight crown to them. Usually you cannot see it by just looking at them. This isn't much help; I wish I could answer your question specific to the H. mike durhan

If you are referring to the cam lobes, that's yes since thet're the part of the cam that opens your valves. Hal
