Just thought I would pass on a little information I found today. This might make it easier for someone to buy a belt at the local auto parts store. Found this in the shed, NEW.
Fan Belt Gates Number 194. 'M' Farmall written on it. 46 3/4 X 29/32 @ 46 degrees.
23 X 1108/1187 MM

Good information, but he Farmall M fan belt is kind of a size all its own. Not likely you will find that size in just any auto parts store, and besides that, the correct fan belt can easily be found just about anywhere that tractor parts are sold.

Thats the same belt that I use on my Ms when the need arising, which was crossed using the belt that was on one of my Ms. Whats so "incorrect" about this belt that warrants your responce?

I did not intend to imply that it is in-correct. I was merely conveying the fact that a fan belt for an M is not difficult to find, and if your local auto parts store does not have a listing in their catalog for the Farmall M, then they probably will not be able to produce the correct belt by doing a cross-referance.
