I painfully found out today that my W6 radiator needs a new core. The person I took the radiator to said he could replace the core for $500 for parts and labor. Are there any cheaper alternatives to this or should I just bite the bullet and pay the $500? Does someone have a parts radiator that is still good they would be willing to sell me?

Eric

An M radiator is the same, except for the very early ones. They didnt have the holes for the headlights. I have found over the years that if you ask for the row crop version parts, they are sometimes cheaper. Someone on ebay has a good one, matched up perfect to my old one on my M, I think it was like $350, still better than 500.

Definitely look around! Chances are you'll find a solid one for 100-200 dollars that will last another 40 years if you run antifreeze in it. I don't know but possibly an M radiator may fit also?
