I am rebuilding my B transmission and need to also replace the bearings in the PTO assembly. I can get sealed bearings at Fastenal for a very good price. I have not priced out bearings from any other places yet but the Fastenal are about $6 for one. Any ideas or thoughts on putting sealed bearings in a transmission. The price somewhat scares me as being to low but I do not plan on using the pto on this thing anyway. Also has anybody had any luck or experience using an online bearing supply source rather then a local bearing shop? Using Google,I still have not found a good online bearing shop. thanks for the replies

I just bought a full set of bearings for my Farmall B trans and I have $140 in the bearings and another $30 in the 3 seals. And that is from the local Carquest and using the company discount from where I work.

Gary below is correct, a sealed bearing may prevent lube from getting to other parts. Pulling the seals is easy with a dental pic. Make sure the new bearings have the same groove depth as the old. Bearings with the same dimensions are not alike. JimN

Call your local or somewhat local Case dealer they may suprise you on price. Also check at a Napa or Carquest. if you have the sizes of the old one they may be able to get you one for a good price. just my .02 cents worth

If the factory bearings are not sealed, Make sure you pull the seal out of the bearings so they get lubed.
