Single front wheel takes a 7.50 X 10, if I remember right. We used an 8.50 X 10 used airplane tire (I think it came off of a Piper Cub) that my cousin, the crop duster, came up with for us. Not original, but the price was right! Not much tread, but the F-12 will never wear it out & it doesn't take much air to stand up as it has lots of plys. It was easy to put on because the rim halves bolt together. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Got an airplane tire on mine also. It had a tri rib on it when I got it but it rubbed the bolts that mount the fork, That tire blew out 2 hours after I bought the tractor so off to the airport I went. The only problem I had was the front end skidding on mud or wet grass. Really got fun if front tire got in a muddy rut. Would have to use hard brake to get it to climb out.

That magneto has an impulse assembly on it so that when you turn it over slowly (as cranking by hand) the mag trips and turns quickly so that it will throw a decent spark. The impulse assembly sometimes breaks springs or gets gummed up. Do you hear a clicking noise coming from the mag when you crank it?

I don't think it's the fuel pump. When you first start it the fuel pump has nothing to do with it firing or not, cause there is fuel already in the carb. You need to either clean the plugs, or check your timing. And also make sure the advance rod is working. You can get a fuel pump kit from the fordson house Link

I had the same issue with my F-12 as far as starting. It would never start off the crank, but it would start right up of the belt pulley, or by pull starting it. It ended up that the spark was being released too late to start the tractor with the slower turning of the crank. I retimed it and it usually only takes two or three cranks to start now.
