My Ford 8N runs and starts fine as long as I hold the choke out. As soon as I push the choke in it will die. I have cleaned the sediment bowl and screen plus the secondary screen at the carburetor. I seem to be getting gas fine to the carburetor. What else could be causing this problem? Thanks for your help. Hay Maker

You should post over on the Ford or 2n 8N 9N forum. This is the Farmall Forum.

On top of Old's advice I would add that if it will run for a long time choking it to a degree, the issue is most often partially plugged jets in the carb or a low float level. If it was OK before, it is jets. If it has been this way, it could be either. JimN

Pull the drain plug out of the bottom of the carb. You may have a stuck float or a clogged needle seat. Also check to make sure you have a good brite blue spark because if the sprark is weak it will run becuase more gas burns better then less gas. Plus if you asked this in the 9N,2N,8N forum you will get more and better ideas
